another
kind of
leadership
We believe that the world needs leaders who make ethical and inclusive decisions. Leaders who make a difference in their workplace and in society in general.
The PROJECT.
The idea of “Another Kind of Leadership” was born during our 2023 camp in Kenya. During informal fireside get-togethers in the evenings, our group of volunteers - young professionals from around the world - engaged in deeply enriching conversations about values, what matters in life, how to make a real impact.
We initiated “Another Kind of Leadership” as a platform to continue the conversation beyond this volunteering project and to spark enthusiasm for leadership among other friends and colleagues.
“Another Kind of Leadership” is a series of seminars and events covering topics related to personal development and leadership. We are currently active in Munich, Nairobi and online.

Core TOPICS.

Leadership based on values & virtues
Growing as a leader starts with personal development: setting clear values, cultivating virtues, and living by example.

Leadership oriented to service
True leaders dedicate themselves to creating meaningful, positive change in the lives of others.

Women in Leadership
Through dedicated spaces for networking and mentorship, we nurture the next generation of female leaders.

Leadership Seminar in Nairobi
Each December we partner with Strathmore University to organize a Leadership Seminar on their Campus in Nairobi.
In the first two editions (2023 and 2024) we have been honoured to have renowned professors such as Dr. Mwangi (Dean of the Business School), Dr. Wathuta (Dean of the Law School), or Dr. Mulli (Leadership professor) as speakers.
The keynotes and subsequent discussions pivoted around principles of leadership, importance of virtue, or the role of women in society from a law perspective.
Dates for the 2025 Leadership Seminar will be announced soon!
“Personal Leadership” in Munich
In September 2024 we kicked-off the first seminar of our “Personal Leadership” Series.
Hosted by IESE Business School in Munich, we brought together 30 young professionals from a variety of backgrounds. In partnership with IFFD (International Federation for Family Development) we used the case method, not to discuss business cases, but personal development cases. In small groups and in the plenum participants exchanged their perspectives and life experiences on the topics of self-knowledge and citizenship.
Stay tuned for the second edition in 2025!

Girls’ Afterworks in Munich
Our Afterworks are informal gatherings for former volunteers, friends and colleagues. Our goal is to create a space for exchange, mentoring and friendship.
Together with our partner organization WomanPro we have had enriching discussions about the importance of identifying our true preferences as women, the challenges of networking in male-dominated industries, the value of relationships also in our professional lives, and much more.
